The Mom Hour’s Mother’s Day Challenge!

We are beyond excited to launch our Mother’s Day Challenge, where we’re inviting you to send in your handwritten notes of encouragement and solidarity to fellow moms. We’ll collect these cards and letters from now until Mother’s Day and share them via social media as well as read a few on the air.

(Jump to the 31-minute mark in Episode 93 to hear us talk about it, or read on for more.)

Your notes can be short and generic–something like “Hey Mama, You’re doing a great job. Your family is so lucky to have you. Love, Sarah from SoCal”–or they can be more specific and as long as you like. Maybe you want to encourage a fellow mom going through something you’ve been through. So you might write a letter “To the mom about to go back to work after maternity leave, I’ve been there. You can do it. (etc.)” or “Dear Mom of a Special Needs Kiddo,” or “Dear Mom who is struggling to find friends…”.

You don’t have to go out and buy a Mother’s Day card (but you can if you want to!)–any hand-written note will do. You can sign with your name or, if you prefer, an anonymous moniker like “Boy Mom in Boston.” Letters should be postmarked no later than May 1 (but we hope to get them and start sharing them even sooner, so don’t wait!) and can be mailed to:

This show is all about helping moms feel confident about themselves as parents, and what better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than by bringing all the amazing voices in our listener community together? We can’t wait to read your letters, and we really believe that for every listener out there who has a word of encouragement to share, there is another mom who really needs to hear it.

Thanks for listening! Would you mind leaving us a review in iTunes? Learn how here. Thanks, friends!
