Welcome to the Gateway to the Midwest and my hometown – St. Louis! While I currently live about 40 miles west, I grew up much closer to downtown. I absolutely love all that St. Louis has to offer for families. There are so many fun things to do and see, and there is truly something for everyone. Here are my best tips for visiting St. Louis with kids and checking out our most popular tourist attractions, including some fun things to do (or eat!) as a family near each attraction.
Every year we take long road trips, usually at least once to a beach and often somewhere else. I also love going on day trips to explore fun places closer to home. I try to prepare as many fun things for my kids to do as independently as possible, so that I can focus on driving, navigating or just so I just don’t have to hear “Are we there yet?” over and over. We see social media, accessories, and even sports gear turn pink in support. But there’s one day in October my family will always wear green, and that’s October 6 – World Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day.
I think about a saying I’ve heard, we only have 18 summers with our kids. 18. I want to do all the things, make all the memories, be the happy and fun mom they deserve.
