Marni Nixon was the singer who often dubbed vocals for non-singing actresses! She was the singing voice of Natalie Wood in West Side Story, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, Deborah Kerr in The King and I, and Ilene Woods in Disney’s Cinderella (1950). She sang for herself as Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music.

This musical show was a fun one. Definitely do a part 2+ lol. My dad and grandma where introduced me to musicals. Unfortunately I didn’t live with them. And my mom who I did live with was not into them (so sad for her lol). Anyways, long way of saying my exposure to them were limited. I LOVE THE ONES THAT IVE SEEN 🙂 and now am excited to look for more. My childhood faves are. Annie. Petes Dragon. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Mary Popping. White Christmas. Grease. Wizard of Oz. I love all of the Disney movie s with music too. Although I understand that they don’t count lol. And I enjoy some guilty please from some of the newer teen musicals like from Justin to Kelly and high school musical.

I LOVED this episode!! I just started listening to your podcast a few months ago and I started at the VERY beginning and am finally catching up. There are a handful I skipped but I have listened to just about all of them. This episode was so fun but I did find myself yelling at my phone, “Don’t forget Singing in the Rain!” My all time favorite!
