Loved this episode! I want to try Sarah’s method for drying pumpkin seeds that does not involve removing all of that pulp but I was not able to write down the instructions while listening. Would it be possible to include the instructions in the post? Thank you so much and happy trick-or-treating!

Dawn, I’m so sorry I didn’t see this until after Halloween! I don’t have a specific recipe or instructions, but the basic idea is to soak the seeds over night in water. They’ll float to the top and most of the pulp will sink to the bottom, and what doesn’t will be very easily to separate the next morning (way easier than doing it right out of the pumpkin). Then spread the seeds out flat to dry, and if you’ve got the time, let them air dry for a while. This year I got impatient and patted them dry and I don’t think it worked quite as well. After that, do whatever you like to do to roast. I did olive oil and sea salt and a 425 degree oven for about 30 min. I also like to spread them out on the roasting pan so they’re not on top of each other, which might mean doing separate pans or batches if you have a lot. Enjoy!
