We get so many great questions from listeners, and sometimes it doesn’t work to devote a whole episode to them. So we decided to take on four questions submitted by listeners and offer our input in Episode 41!
In this episode you’ll hear us talk about room-sharing siblings, planning first birthday parties, feeling left out when you have your kids earlier or later than your friends do, and the evolution of playdates. We also catch up on what’s been happening in our houses this week, including baseball, skiing, sunshine and snow.

Let’s talk by email!
In our opening we mentioned we’re going to be building our email list so we can keep you up to date, send you special messages and offers, and keep an open line of communication with our listeners. Sarah, loved your article in the Washington post
Kim, thank you so much! 🙂
Loved the article, love The Mom Hour!
That was a pretty unfortunate response on 1st birthday celebrations. Meagan has great insights on many topics but this wasn’t it. She’s too far away from the 1st birthday of the 1st child to sympathize with the listener’s question. Poor listener! In my experience, the first birthday of the first child is a huge milestone – not for the child, but for the parents! Hey, you kept your first kid alive for a whole year! Of course celebrate big – caveat- in whatever fashion you want!
