Oxy pads! “Oxi-cute ‘em”
Oooh, and I think the Apple-y hairspray was Salon Selectives! This is so fun. (I was born in 1980 and had an older sister)
I may need to write my own blog post on this topic! FYI, before the current Herbal Essences line, there was Herbal Essence. My mom loved it so much that when stores stopped carrying it, she wrote to Clairol and they sent her an entire case! It looked like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/393994667376763270/
Loved all the nostaglia in this episode – I totally used Noxzema and Sea Breeze. I think the peel off masks were by Kiss My Face – at least that’s the brand I remember using.
My Mom still uses Noxzema today – you can find it at Target, Walmart, CVS etc. It is usually by the St. Ive’s products and usually on the bottom shelf. Still the same blue jar.
This was great! remember pump hairspray?! I am totally buying some Noxzema now, and yes, Jenna is right, you can find it at target.
Meagan,
The apple scented hair spray ,I believe ,was Salon Selectives. It came in a rose, dark pink spray bottle and we used to “scrunch” our hair to get the curls to have that wet look. Also for bangs and the wings. I don’t remember a water melon scent. I graduated high school in 1996 and I grew up in Ohio and Aussie Mega hair spray was a big deal too. They still make it. Fun to listen to you. One of those podcasts where I really wanted to chime in. Thanks !
“Om” scent from the Gap. And remember “Kissing Potion” lip gloss with the rollerball?
