Hello friends! I am a mom of a little one with dairy protein intolerance. We were dairy free for 9 months and yes it is rough!!! One thing we discovered was goat cheese. This is a much better option than the plant based cheese. Good luck!!
Thanks for that tip, Brittney! Goat cheese is something I hadn’t even thought of!
Hi! I have some tips for Katie and her son with the eczema. My daughter was tested positive for the same allergens except peanuts. None of the lotions or ointment they recommended helped until I stumbled upon vanicream. My daughter had eczema rashes on her face arms and knees and within two weeks they were gone! Also she had a really hard time not having milk so we introduced fairlife milk to her diet and although it’s dairy ita free of all the lactose enzymes that cause eczema flair ups and ita much higher in vitamin D and protein than some of the non dairy milk! Hope this helps!
Thanks for the vanicream tip, Whitney. We have mainly stuck with cerave, so I’ll definitely have to give vanicream a try! 🙂
Hey,
When my daughter was 2, she had extremely bad eczema. Her poor skin was raw and massively painful. Prescription strength hydrocortisone was ineffective. We saw a pediatric dermatologist and they prescribed Elidel. It’s another medication for eczema. It cleared the eczema up and it hasn’t been back, she’s 6 now. It’s strong, so you would have to decide if it’s the right choice for you (it’s immunosuppressive). I only had to apply the cream about 3 days. Good luck!
Hi Danielle,
I’ve heard Elidel mentioned a few times now, most recently from his allergist. Thank you for the tip! I’m glad it worked for your daughter!
I have a vegan friend who makes all kinds of yummy cheese like toppings with nutritional yeast! I just became Gluten Free and I totally understand how hard it is! Good luck!!
