8 Kitchen Gadget Gift Ideas For Home Cooks & Hobby Bakers

When I think about my day-to-day life as a mom, I’m pretty sure that I spend 70% of my day in the kitchen. Make meals, pack lunches, do dishes, and repeat. While the meals that I make aren’t always appreciated by the youngest members of my family, I have to admit that I really love spending time in the kitchen. It’s therapeutic for me to bake a batch of muffins on a Monday morning, or put a pot of soup on the stove on Sunday. The kitchen feels like my own room in the house, my happy place.

If you, too, love to be in the kitchen, or you have someone in your life who does, check out these kitchen gadget gift ideas. I can assure you that they will actually get used rather than being thrown in the back of a drawer!

Silpat Nonstick Silicone Baking Mats

These reusable silicone mats replace single use parchment paper and tin foil, because they rinse clean easily in a sink with soapy water. They come in a variety of sizes to fit any cookie sheet or pan, and no nonstick spray is required. I have used my Silpats for a decade and they are still going strong. As a bonus, they make a great surface for playdough and my kids use them frequently for that!

Pampered Chef Cookie Scoop

I attended a Pampered Chef party over a decade ago, and this is the one and only item that I bought. Here I am, still using and recommending it all these years later. The medium scoop makes perfectly portioned cookies, and I like to use it to fill my muffin tins as well.

Temp-tations Mixing Bowls With Pour Spouts

For the home chef who has everything, why not give them a set of pretty bowls? I received a similar set for my birthday, and not only are they pretty, but they are also sturdy and functional. These bowls are dishwasher and oven safe, and they nest together to save space in my cabinets.

Lemon Bliss Apron

I don’t think that one can have too many aprons. In my own kitchen, I like to rotate them so I can wash them, and my kids love wearing them too! This lightweight lemon apron is bright and fun, and it has pockets for stashing small items.

Baking Desk Calendar

This desk calendar could be the perfect gift for a co-worker or friend. My friend gifted me this calendar last year, and it’s been fun to turn the page everyday and discover a new recipe. I keep mine on a shelf in the kitchen and it inspires me to try new recipes!

Cookbook Stand

I love cookbooks, and for years, I spent too much time trying to hold down the pages with a bag of flour or a random kitchen utensil. When I finally invested in a cookbook stand that holds the pages for me, it wasn’t such a pain to use my cookbooks. This one adjusts to fit various cookbook sizes, and it includes a clear acrylic panel that protects the pages from spills. It would be a fun gift on its own or paired with a cookbook!

Food Love Tog Seasoning Blends

If there’s a foodie in your life who would appreciate a new seasoning blend that is different from what you can find in the grocery store, turn to Food Love Tog. This woman-owned business sells various spice blends that can be shipped internationally. I use and love the house seasoning, but it would be fun to bundle a few to create a seasoning sampler!

Little Partners Learning Tower

If you are looking for a big ticket item for a mom with littles, look no further. This learning tower has an adjustable base that allows little ones to reach counter height. I was gifted one when my oldest was a toddler and we have been using it almost daily for six years now. It’s so well-built, when all of my kids outgrow it, I’m sure we will find another use for it!
